- It will be a paid expansion;
- Its main protagonist will be Yuffie, a ninja from Wutai;
- The plot of the DLC will focus on an attempt to rob the Shinra corporation.
We finally got to know new details about the EPISODE INTERmission DLC for Final Fantasy VII Remake Intergrade. The main heroine of the DLC will be Yuffie Kisaragi, a female ninja from the Wutai region. In the expansion, the girl will try to steal the world's most powerful materia held by the Shinra Corporation.
The DLC will be released exclusively for Intergrade, the expanded and enhanced version of Final Fantasy 7 remake, which will hit PS5 in two months. Square Enix has no plans to release the expansion on PS4.
In combat, Yuffie Kisaragi is expected to be able to, among other things, throw a giant shuriken and use powerful ranged ninjitsu techniques, which can be further enhanced with elemental effects of fire, ice, lightning and wind.
Yuffie will also have an offensive ability called Banishment, whose attack power will depend on how much ATB we spend to charge it up. She'll also be able to summon powerful gusts of wind that will not only deal damage to enemies, but also bring them closer to her.
In EPISODE INTERmission we will encounter many other characters besides Yuffie. Among them will be her comrade-in-arms Sonon, members of the headquarters of the ecoterrorist group Avalanche, such as Nayo, Billy Bob or Polk, as well as Weiss, the sadist who manages Shinra's secret research facility.
Final Fantasy VII Remake Intergrade will be released on June 10, this year, exclusively on PlayStation 5. Those who bought the previous edition of the game on PS4 will receive the new version for free. EPISODE INTERmission, on the other hand, will be a paid expansion.
