Final Fantasy VII Ever Crisis Release Date No Longer a Secret
We have learned the release date for Final Fantasy VII Ever Crisis, a free-to-play jRPG developed by Square Enix for mobile devices.
Square Enix has announced the release date of Final Fantasy VII Ever Crisis - a mobile game that will enable us to follow the events depicted in all the games set in the Final Fantasy VII universe, as well as in the movie Final Fantasy VII: Advent Children.
As it turns out, the title will hit smartphones and tablets on September 7, this year (per Knoebel). Players eager to check out this item can already make a pre-registration on Google Play and App Store.
Square Enix also shared a comprehensive report on the closed beta testing that took place in June. Players' overall impressions were very good, which bodes well for the release - you can find details here.
- Final Fantasy VII Ever Crisis will be distributed in free-to-play model. The item will be released in episodic form - the entire story will be divided into smaller chapters.
- The game will feature the events we know from Final Fantasy VII Remake and such titles as Before Crisis: Final Fantasy VII, Crisis Core: Final Fantasy VII, Dirge of Cerberus: Final Fantasy VII.
- Final Fantasy VII Ever Crisis will be a classic jRPG. The gameplay will consist of exploring locations, fighting enemies and discovering the storyline.
- Clashes will be based on a turn-based system, similar to the one we know from earlier Final Fantasy games and other representatives of the genre. Battles will take place in separate arenas, and we will control three characters from our party.
- Final Fantasy VII Ever Crisis will have attractive three-dimensional visuals, which stylistically refer to the classic Final Fantasy VII, but will be much more technologically advanced.
