FF7 Rebirth - Dynamic Difficulty Explained

We have prepared a review of FF7, so if you want to learn more about our impressions, read it here: Final Fantasy VII Rebirth Review: A Majestic Middle.

Dynamic Difficulty in FF7 Rebirth scales enemies to your level. What does it mean? At least in theory, if done right, you should experience more or less the same challenge regardless of your level. It can be a good choice for people who like to do all additional content and quests, as this will allow to even up level of enemies during main missions. On the other hand, you will not face a challenge either, as all opponents will be your equals. So, think about it carefully.

You don’t have to commit yourself to that choice, though. You can change it later during gameplay; it is enough to open Settings and pick a proper difficulty under Gameplay section.
