Far Cry 6 - Vaas: Insanity DLC Release Date; Roguelite Elements Announced
We've learned the release date of the Vaas: Insanity DLC for Far Cry 6. It was also revealed that the add-on will feature roguelite elements.

- We will get a new open world and many of its elements will be determined randomly;
- To unlock everything and collect every achievement the DLC will have to be completed several times.
Ubisoft has announced the release date of Vaas: Insanity, the first expansion for Far Cry 6. The expansion will debut on November 16, simultaneously on all hardware platforms.
The DLC will differ from what the base game offers. We will play as Vaas, the villain from Far Cry 3. The DLC will offer us a new open world, which is a representation of the mind of this villain. What's interesting is that the gameplay is to be inspired by the roguelite genre, which means that many elements will be determined randomly.
This is the end of the information provided by Ubisoft, but Exophase has obtained a list of achievements from the DLC which reveals additional details. It can be deduced from them that we will be able to complete the DLC multiple times, each time unlocking new elements, and some progress (such as weapons and improvements to their storage compartments) will be retained between successive playthroughs.
Recall that there are also two other additions planned, focusing on villains from previous installments in the series. Pagan Min, known from Far Cry 4, will return in the January DLC, and in March we'll be able to play as Joseph Seed from Far Cry 5.
In addition to paid DLCs we can also expect free content. This month's updates will add two operations - Puerta del Eden and Malagua. Further plans include three more crossover adventures. The first of them will be Danny & Dani vs. Everybody with a guest appearance by Danny Trejo. This mission was recently released prematurely and quickly removed, but we shouldn't have to wait long for its return. February will see the release of Rambo: All The Blood and in March we get to play The Vanishing, which will combine the universes of Far Cry and Stranger Things.
Far Cry 6 was released on October 6 this year on PC, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One and Xbox Series X/S. The game is also available on Google Stadia.
