Fans Aren't Waiting; See Probable GTA 6 Map They Prepared
Even after the announcement of Grand Theft Auto 6, fans of the series have not given up on speculation and are trying to recreate the map of the new game from Rockstar Games on their own.
For many years, fans of Grand Theft Auto have been dreaming of a new installment, spending a lot of time on not necessarily justified speculations, but also on creating their own materials and visions of the perfect continuation of GTA V. Some players didn't give up on this even after the official game presentation, resulting in, among other things, a 3D map of Grand Theft Auto 6 inspired by the locations shown in the first trailer.
Youtuber Dark Space tried to faithfully recreate the locations shown by Rockstar Games. It's difficult to expect a fan to fully grasp the vastness of the city based on a one-minute video. The author admits that he certainly made some mistakes in the "perspective" and scaling of objects on the map. You can check out the material presenting his work in the video below.
The map is based on another fan project, developed by modder DuPz0r, which is constantly being developed by the community. Dark Space notes that during the development process, other internet users were making similar changes to the original game as he had planned, which - as he put it - shows that fans are on the "right track." However, keep in mind that due to the lack of official resources, the community has to rely on leaks and the GTA Vice City map to fill in numerous gaps.
The YouTuber stated his belief that the GTA VI map will be the biggest and most varied in the series' history (the new Vice City will easily fit the entire San Andreas and Liberty City), although this would likely not come as a surprise to anyone. After ten years since the release of "five," players would have every right to be greatly disappointed if Rockstar didn't offer a more vast world than in the previous installment.
The Dark Space project isn't meant to release a fully completed map of GTA 6. Fans will work together to refine this raw 3D model and see how closely their vision aligns with the official map of "six." So don't count on crowds of NPCs or high-quality textures.
The map can be downloaded from the YouTuber's Google Drive.
