Elden Ring's Creator Addressed Issue of Bloodborne on PC. 'As Far as I'm Concerned, That's Definitely Not Something I'd Be Opposed To'

Hidetaka Miyazaki has no say in the future of the Bloodborne brand, but he wouldn't protest if the Lovecraftian soulslike was released on PC.

The creator of Bloodborne wouldn't have any objections to releasing his game on PC.

Hidetaka Miyazaki, the head of FromSoftware studio, admitted in a conversation with Wes Fenlon from PC Gamer that he would have "trouble" if he stated that he wants a port of this already cult title on PC. Nevertheless, the Japanese would obviously like his game to reach as many players as possible. Especially because it's a game that's exclusively on an older console that's slowly becoming outdated (excluding backward compatibility on PS5).

Obviously, as one of the creators of Bloodborne, my personal, pure honest opinion is I'd love more players to be able to enjoy it. Especially as a game that is now coming of age, one of those games of the past that gets lost on older hardware. I think any game like that, it'd be nice to have an opportunity for more players to be able to experience that and relive this relic of the past. So as far as I'm concerned, that's definitely not something I'd be opposed to.

The same goes for other FromSoftware staff members who participated in Fenlon's interview with Miyazaki regarding the Elden Ring expansion - developer Yasuhiro Kitao and project administrator (as well as translator) Bob Simpson.

Of course, as the Japanese emphasized many times (most recently a few months ago; via IGN), the Bloodborne brand doesn't belong to FromSoftware. Therefore, neither the head of the studio, nor any of his employees have the right to speak about the future of the series - whether it's the possibility of developing a PC port, or a potential continuation.

However, Miyazaki himself also stressed that he sees the point of making a Bloodborne remake. It's easy to overlook, but this soulslike is already over 9 years old, and Sony demonstrated its willingness to update even such "young" games.

Furthermore, the company is placing a stronger emphasis on PCs, leading to the release of, among other things, the Nordic God of War saga for personal computers. This is what the hopes of FromSoftware fans are based on, who for years have been counting on the possibility of exploring the fallen city of Yharnam (as well as the kingdom of Boletaria).
