Techland Doesn't Announce Dying Light 3, but Asks a Question About It
Dying Light 3 has not been announced. Nevertheless, Techland decided to ask fans about one particular aspect of the game.
Dying Light 2 launched over a year ago and the developers continue to improve their product. In early February they published a roadmap, which reveals to us what will appear in the game in 2023. However, as it turns out, devs at Techland are already starting to think about a possible third installment of the series (via Eurogamer).
Tymon Smektala, the director responsible for the Dying Light brand, posted a poll on his Twitter account, in which he asked, who, according to the players, should be the protagonist of Dying Light 3. At the same time, he stressed that the post is not an announcement of the game - it is only meant to be the result of a discussion between the developers that took place at the studio.
Currently, the possibility of voting is already blocked. Of the nearly 6,000 people who decided to comment, as many as 42.8% want to take on the role of a GRE (of the Global Relief Effort) agent that switched to the "good" side. In contrast, the second place in the survey was taken by the answer "just a Survivor."
There is nothing suggesting to take this post as something obliging. It's likely that the developers at Techland are just loosely speculating on what their next project could look like. So we can only be patient and wait for the official announcement of Dying Light 3 (should it eventually occur), and until then enjoy the development of the second one, which is expected to last for many more years.
