Dota Underlords - Battle Pass Prototype Tests Have Started
Valve released the so-called Proto Pass for Dota Underlords, a prototype battle pass, which was given to everyone taking part in the open tests of the game.
- Developer: Valve Software
- Publisher: Valve Software
- Genre: Strategy game
- Platforms: PC, iOS, AND
- Business model: Free-to-play
Last month saw the launch of an open beta Dota Underlords, a tactical game by Valve Software, based on solutions from the popular Dota Auto Chess mod to Dota 2. Now the devs have released for free the so-called Proto Pass, which is a test version of the battle pass.
The prototype pass was given to everyone playing the early version of Dota Underlords. It allows you to unlock unique flags, emotes and a new type of board. Earn these rewards by playing matches against other players as well as against bots, and performing daily and weekly tasks. The purpose of the tests is to obtain feedback from players so that devs can customize their plans for Season 1 Battle Pass to suit the community's preferences.
The trial version of Dota Underlords is available on PC and mobile devices running iOS and Android. For now, the game is available completely free of charge, but in the future it will receive microtransactions.
It is worth mentioning that the game is not the only commercial adaptation of Dota Auto Chess mod. The popularity of the modification caused the developers to rush to create this type of production. However, apart from Dota Underlords only two other positions are relevant. The devs of the modification, the people from Drogo, are working on Auto Chess. Valve's second rival in the battle for the throne is Teamfight Tactics, the new Dota Auto Chess-like game mode for League of Legends.
