Tencent has announced Don't Starve: Newhome, a free mobile sequel of the popular roguelike game from Klei Entertainment (via Digital Trends). The game is to develop concepts and ideas known from previous installments - such as survival mechanics and online functions. We will receive, among others, a new campaign, cooperation mode, the possibility of building houses and new types of opponents.
Don't Starve: Newhome doesn't have a release date set for the time being, but we know that next month we'll get a closed beta. If you're interested in taking part, you should visit this address and fill out a form (it requires an e-mail address and choosing the platform you want to play on).
The original Don't Starve was released in 2013. Initially, the game was only available on PC, but later it was also released on PlayStation 4 and Xbox One. A port dedicated to mobile devices was also created between 2015-2016, titled Don't Starve: Pocket Edition. The game also saw a stand-alone add-on called Don't Starve Together, which enriched the well-known formula with a co-op mode.
