Don't Starve to get Hamlet single player DLC
Klei Entertainment is preparing a lot of new content for Don't Starve games. The most important one is the single player DLC called Hamlet, coming out next year.
Although Klei Entertainment may seem busy working on some new projects – Oxygen Not Included, available in Steam Access since February 2017, and the RPG Griftlands, announced at E3 2017 – the Canadian developer is still able to find time to develop new content for its greatest hit, Don’t Starve. The popular survival game is going to get a new single player DLC (it is not going to be available in Don’t Starve Together). Don’t Starve: Hamlet will take Wilson to “a lost town of aristocratic Pigmen nestled within a foreboding tropical jungle”. The add-on will launch in Q1 or Q2 2018.
That’s not all, however. Klei has also prepared a free content update for Don’t Starve: Shipwrecked, which introduces a bunch of new creatures, resources, and craftable items. This one is currently available on Steam Beta servers – here are the instructions on how to access it.
Another announcement is Don’t Starve Together: The Forge, a series of time-limited events for the co-op version of the game. All owners of Don’t Starve Together will be free to participate, starting in November 2017 (first on PC). In The Forge players will team up to fight the Battlemaster and his army on fiery arenas. Participating in those battles will give us a chance of getting new weapons and armor, items, and combat abilities as well as unique skins. On top of that, there is another playable character available in the game now, a strong-willed Winona. All those announcements were discussed on Steam.
