Blizzard Warns Before Diablo 4 Open Beta: There Will be Queues
It looks like the upcoming Diablo 4 open beta will repeat some problems from of a week ago. Blizzard is preparing us for a long wait in queues.
If you are eagerly anticipating the open beta of Diablo IV, which will be available for free to all players starting tomorrow, then you have to expect problems at launch and be patient. Blizzard itself has pointed out that there will be no getting around the long wait to enter Sanctuary. Servers are expected to be overcrowded especially when the open beta kicks off, which is Friday after 5 p.m. CET.
"When we open the gates again this Friday to absolutely everyone, we are expecting a lot of people. There will be lengthy queue times, particularly on Friday when we first launch and during peak regional windows. (...)In summary, while we know it can be frustrating, we need queues to properly stress test our services (...)."
However, this is not the only problem Diablo IV open beta players must be prepared for. Technical interruptions have also been mentioned, which may occur, among other things, in order to implement patches. All this, explains Blizzard, to ensure the best possible release of the game in June.
In addition, we were was reminded of the possibility of reporting bugs that may be encountered during thje game. The developers will monitor the situation by checking the discussion forums.
Messages about servers being unavailable and the game shutting down have already been encountered by early access beta participants - and not only them, there were also, for example, errors with cutscenes or issues related to optimization. Yesterday, Blizzard announced fixes that it is preparing for the start of the Diablo IV beta, which primarily concern the game's stability. However, as it turns out, it will unfortunately not eliminate the problem of long queues.
"Open beta of Diablo IV will start tomorrow, i.e. Friday, March 24, at 5 p.m. CET. It will end on Monday, March 27, at 8 p.m. The game will be available for testing on all target platforms, i.e. PS4, PS5, Xbox One and Xbox Series X/S consoles and PCs. If you want to learn more about the testing, take a look at this news.
Premiere of Diablo IV will take place on June 6 on PS4, PS5, XOne, XSX/S and PC.
