Gamers Ask About Diablo 4 on Xbox Game Pass; Devs Respond
Fans are wondering if the upcoming Diablo IV will be available to Game Pass subscribers. The game's developer has decided to quell the speculation.
Microsoft's acquisition of Activision Blizzard is still not a foregone conclusion, due in part to protracted deadlines for a decision on the matter by the European Commission. Despite these problems, many gamers are wondering whether, due to this controversial purchase, the upcoming Diablo IV will be available in Game Pass. Rod Fergusson, who oversees the game, has decided to answer this nagging question. Unfortunately, the developer announced that the fourth part of Diablo will not be coming to Microsoft's service, or at least Blizzard has no such plans for the time being.
Diablo IV will therefore not be an exception in the series, as no other installment is available in Game Pass. Admittedly, one can hope that the game will eventually make its way to this subscription should Microsoft's purchase of Activision be finalized. However, this would most likely happen after the game's release.
Recall that the open beta of Diablo IV will run from March 24 to 26, and those with early access will also be able to try out the game on March 17-19 (as long as they preordered it). You can read more about the beta in this news item.
Diablo IV will debut on June 6 on PS4, PS5, Xbox Series X/S and Xbox One consoles and PCs.
