Diablo 4 Fan May Have Discovered More Character Classes
One of the websites features a text about next character classes in Diablo IV. How did we learn about them? Well, they may have a strong connection to the locations revealed by Blizzard.
An article appeared on Psionica, in which one of the fans of the Diablo series followed the clues left by Blizzard regarding the fourth installment. It's quite possible that the locations revealed by the developers (on the game's website) tell us what character classes will be available to choose from. Some of them have been known for some time, but the very fact that they are described again confirms the credibility of some other theories.
The starting location, Scosglen, is a mountainous forest areas inhabited by druids. So it's not a very subtle reference, and the direct information that the druids will surely appear in the game, but we already knew that.
Another location, Dry Steppes, is, as the name suggests, a wilderness where one struggles to survive. And it's full of "ruthless mercenaries" and "cannibalistic blood mages". The phrase "Rugged Barbarians" was also used, thus announcing another class that is the well known barbarian.
The creators also emphasized the presence of witches, all thanks to the description of the location known as Havezar. It's a dark and not very nice region, overwhelmed by "poison, plague and despair". To top it all off, the aforementioned ladies have been adding charm to it with their long-lasting curses.
And since we have witches, there are also sorceresses (although we have already seen them in action on promo materials). However, there is no direct mention of them in the short descriptions of locations. The developers only mentioned the ruins of Kehjistan, using a few dramatic epithets, and without knowing the universe of Diablo , not everyone knows that it is from here that a couple of magician clans come - including "Sorcerers of Kehjistan".
When we go to the world of Sanctuary for the fourth time, we will also visit the snowy, mountainous area of Fractured Peaks. It is where "pious monks" seek redemption. We will see what their devotion be good for when will take down crowds of monsters with our staffs and combat skills.
So, as we can see, this was not an extremely difficult investigation and only required a thorough reading of the descriptions of the given locations. It is hard to imagine that in these modest few sentences Blizzard included any accidental information, so we are 99% sure that the creators referred to the aforementioned classes with full awareness.
