Another season in Diablo 3, bundled with update 2.7.4, are getting closer. Season 27 is called Light's Calling and it will start on August 26. At that time, a number of improvements will be made to the game, including some that will enable the players to further enhance the capabilities of their weapons.
Angelic crucibles in Diablo 3
One of the most significant changes in season 27 is expected to be the possibility to use angelic crucibles, with the help of which we will strengthen our weapons. These disposable items will be used to imbue any legendary equipment with power, while it is worth noting that the choice of power is to be random. What power a given weapon will receive after using an angelic crucible will also depend on the character class, so a barbarian and a demon hunter will receive different abilities.
Another important change is that the game's adventure mode will be unlocked for all players. As a result, new fans (and those who, for some reason, haven't done so yet) won't have to finish the campaign to play it.
Changes to Diablo 3
Season 27 will introduce many noticeable changes to the gameplay. You can read more about them on the official website. Here are some of the highlights:
- Angelic crucibles will only be obtained in season mode. Both items and weapons sanctified with them will not be transferrable to non-seasonal character's stash.
- Sanctified items will not be equippable by companions.
- Items can be imbued with power again using another angelic crucible.
- With the help of angelic crucibles we will only upgrade level 70 equipment items and they cannot be player-made items.
- The frequency of angelic crucible drops will be doubled.
- Dimensions with uber-bosses will automatically close one minute after defeating them.
- The number of experience points for completing the Echoing Nightmare will be reduced by 83%.
