Development of Darkborn Suspended
The Outsiders informed that the development of Darkborn (formerly Project Wight) was suspended. The intriguing stealth game starring a Grendel-like monster may return in the future, but not before the creators reveal their new project.
A year ago we had a chance to watch the presentation of Darkborn, the debut project of The Outsiders. Unfortunately, today the team announced a suspension of the game, which was known as Project Wight up until April 2 2019. The information was posted on Twitter, without giving any reason for the decision.
We have no clues as to what causes the suspension. One could guess that the ongoing coronavirus epidemic has also made it difficult for The Outsiders to work. The problem with this theory is that in the announcement the studio mentions a new project, which is to be revealed soon. It's possible that another issue was crucial here. In July 2019 The Outsiders parted with Private Division (via GamesIndustry.biz) and there is no indication that the studio will find another publisher. It is also possible that Darkborn itself proved to be a problem, although the team does not rule out returning to it in the future. In other words, there is a chance that we will still have an opportunity to impersonate the Viking-murdering monster. For now, we can only wait for more information from the devs.
