There were times when First Person Shooters were a lot more reliant on a good single player campaign. Those are still featured in many of blockbuster series like Battlefield or Call of Duty, yet they have experimented with getting rid of it completely. Delta Force, free-to-play FPS developed by Team Jade, also focused on multiplayer first, but the creators promised us a full-fledged, story driven experience. And so, it is finally destined to arrive tomorrow (February 21st, 2025). What is more, it is completely free. However, there is more to it, so get comfy in your chair and read on.

Many of us may remember Ridley Scott’s Black Hawk Down movie from 2001, describing tragic events of 1992 Somali Civil War. Those have inspired devs from Novalogic Inc., who created the original Delta Force Black Hawk Down game, back in 2003. After more than 20 years, we can now relive them in a campaign recreated by Team Jade.
That’s not all. This was initially planned to be a paid component of the production, yet it has been decided to be released at no cost at all for everyone. You can start the adventure as soon as tomorrow, February 21st, 2025, at 3AM UTC, which translates to:

According to the FAQ on Delta Force’s Steam page, it will be possible to experience the campaign solo, yet it is said to be very challenging, as it was designed to be played in a full squad of 4 players in co-op. There is a caveat though – as of now, this content is available only on PC with no console release date in sight. This narrows down the possibilities of others to join your game, yet don’t fret, as the port is coming! Have fun!
