Days Gone creator Jeff Ross apparently still can't get over the fact that Sony didn't give the series a chance to develop.

This year's PlayStation Showcase was considered by many to be a disappointment. The group of critics of the event was recently joined by the creator of Days Gone - Jeff Ross. The developer's dissatisfaction, however, did not stem from the game presented at the event, but rather from the resentment harbored against Sony brass.

The game director used Wednesday's show to vent his frustration and once again take a stab at the Japanese giant for the company's failure to give him a chance to develop the brand Days Gone further.

In a post on Twitter Ross stated that if all things had gone Bend Studio's way, we would have been playing Days Gone 2 for a month now. Thus, the developer made it clear that the original plans were to release the game four years after the debut of the first game.

Recall that earlier information, which also came from Jeff Ross, indicated that the sequel was to include a co-op feature, significant improvements over its predecessor and additional features (for example, base building and swimming). Unfortunately, there are many indications that we will never again see what these would have looked like in the final game. Although the first part was well received by the community, Sony decided to scrap the sequel due to unsatisfactory sales.
