Darkest Dungeon 2 With Impressive Sales Despite High Price
The developers of Darkest Dungeon 2 have boasted impressive sales results. The game is selling like hot cakes after coming out of early access.
Darkest Dungeon 2 from Red Hook Studios, which recently came out of Early Access, is enjoying great success among players. The developers boasted on Twitter, that sales of the game have exceeded 500,000 copies, of which more than 230,000 were purchased after the release of version 1.0 last week. The result is all the more impressive given that the full release is expensive - it costs twice as much as in Early Access.
Darkest Dungeon II debuted in Early Access in October 2021, and version 1.0 was released on May 8, this year. The game is currently only available on PC.
The game has received a warm reception - on Steam, 75% of reviews are positive. The title also achieves impressive activity results - yesterday it set a new record of 18,000 concurrent users. However, this result does not fully reflect the game's popularity, as it is also sold in Epic Games Store, where, incidentally, it was an exclusive during early access, so many fans who did not want to wait for the version on Steam purchased it on EGS.
