Cyberpunk 2077 sequel is expected to offer „the most realistic and reactive crowd system in any game to date”

Project Orion is expected to allow the CD Projekt RED studio to create a living world that will leave not only Cyberpunk 2077 but all the competition far behind.

The continuation of Cyberpunk 2077 is set to offer the "most realistic and responsive crowd in the history of video games."

The person who joins the CD Projekt RED studio branch in Boston will encounter such a task. As stated in the job offer posted on the developer's official website, the Lead Encounter Designer will join the team working on Project Orion and will collaborate with those designing systems (quests, open world, gameplay, etc.) for the new game to achieve this goal.

The living world is one of many popular trends in contemporary games - and Cyberpunk 2077 was also supposed to fit into this trend. There's probably no need to remind how it was on day one. Even after the updates, which breathed more life into Night City and fixed many bugs, some players believe that the developers didn't quite manage to match what Rockstar Games Studio achieved, for instance, in Red Dead Redemption 2.

Apparently, in the "sequel," CD Projekt RED wants to try not only to match the developers of GTA but even to surpass them. Nonetheless, players have doubts about this, not only in the context of the launch problems of Cyberpunk 2077.

Besides the lead designer of "encounters," CDPR is seeking several more people to fill roles in the studio's American branch, such as a Senior Level Designer and Senior Interface or gameplay animation programmers.
