Cyberpunk 2077 Has a Rabbit Hole Leading Under Night City's Textures

Designing a metropolis the size and scope of Night City from Cyberpunk 2077 is not an easy matter, so it's not difficult to miss a thing or two. One of such gaps, recently discovered by players, is a hole through which V can... fall off the map.

IN A NUTSHELL:
  1. Players have discovered a hole in the ground in Cyberpunk 2077 through which they can fall off the map;
  2. The hole can be found in the Rancho Coronado district, and after falling into it the character is teleported to the nearest "safe" spot.

Cyberpunk 2077 suffers from a variety of issues, even though the developers at CD Projekt RED are releasing subsequent patches at considerable rate. Not all of the game's problems, however, are troubling, and some can be considered quite amusing. One of the latter is a hole in the ground discovered by players. You will find it behind the kiosk located near the area where, during a Delamain: Readmission, V is looking for one of Delamain's missing taxis.

The hole in question is quite neatly hidden, which makes it relatively easy to overlook when walking (and even more so when driving) in Night City. As it is not difficult to guess, entering it results in falling off the map. However, the buildings and streets of the city can only be viewed from below for a short while. As you can see on the video posted here, the game quickly notes the fact of the player falling off the map and teleports them to the last "safe" position (located just next to the hole).

Due to the fact that the pace of patching Cyberpunk 2077 by the developers is impressive, it can be assumed that the hole will be quickly... well, patched. So if you want to see it with your own eyes, we advise you to hurry. Another thing is that it is not the biggest problem that afflicts the game, but a kind of curiosity and living proof that designing open worlds of the size and scope of Night City is not a simple matter, so it is not difficult to miss a thing or two.

I've seen things that you people wouldn't believe. Cars running around the streets of Night City. I watched them from below, shining in the dark near Rancho Coronado. All these moments will disappear like bugs after patches. Time to die.

Cyberpunk 2077 launched on PCs, PlayStation 4 and Xbox One on December 10. The game also runs on PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X/S. Although the title was experiencing a variety of problems on the day of its release (especially for owners of last-gen consoles of Sony and Microsoft), CD Projekt RED quickly took steps to fix it, and decided to refund players who were unhappy with the games condition, which did not protect CD Projekt from class action suits. Despite all the complications, the game's sales are stunning. Meanwhile, the developers are working not only on the sunsequent patches, but also on free DLCs, the first of which will appear in early 2021.
