Crusader Kings 3’s Wandering Nobles Release Divided Players. Fans Complain About „Cut Content” from Roads to Power
Crusader Kings 3: Wandering Nobles is supposed to be price-worthy, but some players believe this DLC should be part of the Roads to Power expansion.
Crusader Kings 3 received another DLC. The Wandering Nobles expansion hit PCs yesterday, bringing with it a new lifestyle – the first since the release of the third installment of Paradox’s "Crusade" series in 2020. By the way, a new update has also been released.
Of course, it's just a minor addition, not a major expansion like Roads to Power. Version 1.14.0 doesn't add that much new stuff to Crusader Kings 3. However, the ability to build a brewery (with its associated culture and position in the virtual ruler's court) obviously made players happy.
There are also a few other significant changes, including in the balance of gameplay. For example, the method of calculating the risk - let's call it that - of inbreeding in a dynasty was modified to depend on the degree of kinship, rather than the "number of missing ancestors."
Nevertheless, it's clear that the excitement for Wandering Nobles is rather moderate. The daily "peak" of players has remained largely unchanged since the DLC's launch (via SteamDB), and the expansion itself has received "mixed" reviews on Steam. So far, the title received 104 reviews, with 66% of them being positive.
Interestingly, this time the problem is not even the price; on the contrary, there are plenty of opinions that the DLC is worth $5, which is what the publisher is asking for it. What irritates some players, however, is the alleged removal of content from Roads to Power and releasing it as a separate DLC. Many of the new features in Wandering Nobles are considered pointless by these buyers if you don't have the latest major expansion.
