Royal Court Expansion for Crusader Kings 3 Delayed
The release of the first major expansion for Crusader Kings 3 has been delayed. Unfortunately, players will have to arm themselves with patience.
- Royal Court expansion for Crusader Kings 3 will not debut until 2022;
- This is due to the problems that continue to plague the production;
- It is supposed to abound in bugs, which require additional attention from the developers.
It's been a while since the release of Crusader Kings 3. Fans of the title have even lived to see the first small DLC in the form of Northern Lords. However, a large expansion that would radically affect the gameplay is yet to come.
We are talking about Royal Court, which will focus on deepening relationships with vassals and other rulers at court. The addition was announced a few months ago and even appeared on Steam, where you can pre-order it. All this could point to an imminent release of the new content.

Unfortunately, a post published on Paradox Interactive's official forum heralds something quite different. The release of Royal Court was delayed due to the unsatisfactory technical condition. It's not stable enough and there are some troublesome bugs, so the developers prefer to delay the debut to have more time to bring the add-on to a satisfactory state. They certainly want to avoid the situation they caused with the release of the Leviathan DLC for Europe Universalis 4.
For these reasons Royal Court will definitely not reach the players this year. The post on the Paradox Interactive forum reveals that a specific release date for the expansion will be announced soon. However, it is already known that it will debut on the market only in 2022. Fans must therefore arm themselves with patience and count on the fact that the developers will manage to fix the bugs that led to the delay of work on the add-on.
