The Fate of Iberia expansion for Crusader Kings III has just debuted. It adds, among others, struggles which simulate gigantic, hundreds of years long conflicts. Along with it there is a free update 1.6.
New expansion for Crusader Kings III, titled Fate of Iberia, has just debuted (at the moment it is only available on PC). The full list of novelties can be found here. Fate of Iberia can now be purchased on Steam.
The struggle in Fate of Iberia
The most important novelty introduced by Fate of Iberia, is the struggle. This is a completely fresh expansion feature - for now only available on the Iberian Peninsula - that simulates gigantic conflicts, often lasting hundreds of years. The Steam description of the expansion reads:
"You tell the ever-evolving saga of Iberia with each decision you make. Appeasing or hostile, influence the constant turmoil on the peninsula to your liking during each phase of the Struggle.
Follow the path of history with a definite end goal in mind or play out a completely new fate for the region. Be the early founder of a Hispania steeped in blood, or bring together a multicultural caliphate in peace."
Free update 1.6
Along with the Fate of Iberia expansion Crusader Kings III received update 1.6. It adds, among other things, new special contract types (Marriage Favor, Jizya, Iqta and Ghazi) and Mozarabic Christianity as a ritual religion, sharing the head of the Church with Catholicism. The full list of changes can be found here.
