Geralt of Rivia has already had to deal with many monsters, but his biggest enemy recently remains the coronavirus. As reported by Deadline, the filming of the second season of The Witcher from Netflix has been suspended due to confirmation of positive cases in the film crew. On November 7, the presence of COVID-19 was confirmed in four people associated with the production.
This sad news forced the producers to stop working at Arborfield Studios in London. The unlucky crew members were sent to quarantine. There are no actors from the main cast among them. However, this is only a part of the actions taken by Netflix, the American giant decided to carry out tests among all people involved in the project.
Let us remind that this is not the first time when the coronavirus pandemic has thwarted the producers' plans. A similar situation took place in March this year, when it turned out that Kristofer Hivjucaught the virus. Norwegian actor known for his role of Tormund in Game of Thrones will play Nivellen in the second season of The Witcher.
The interruption was also extended by the announcement of the first lockdown in the UK in August. This month, a second lockdown was introduced - this move of Boris Johnson's government forced the filmmakers to close the outdoor set, which was reported on Instagram by Henry Cavill, among others.
