Sega and Relic Entertainment have jointly announced Company of Heroes 3, the long-awaited third installment in the popular series of tactical WWII strategy games. The announcement was accompanied by an impressive cinematic trailer and a gameplay trailer. Company of Heroes 3 will hit the PC at the end of 2022..

Company of Heroes 3 will take players to the Mediterranean front of World War II. During the non-linear single-player campaign, which combines turn-based gameplay on a large global map and the execution of dozens of classic real-time missions, we will fight in Italy and North Africa. One of the biggest novelties in the gameplay model will be an active pause, which will appear only during single player missions. It will enable us to control the situation even in the most heated moments of battle.

From today, for the next three weeks, all interested players who register on the game's official website will be able to download the pre-alpha version of Company of Heroes 3 on Steam for free. It will offer a slice of the campaign taking place on the Apennine Peninsula. Feedback from fans gathered during the tests will have a big influence on the final shape of the game. In the future the creators are also planning further alphas and betas, some of which will focus on multiplayer.
