'Communist' City Builder Workers & Resources Version 1.0 Launch After 5 Years in Early Access
The release of the full version of the unique city builder Workers & Resources: Soviet Republic will take place next year. The announcement was accompanied with a new gameplay trailer.
After 5 long years, fans of Workers & Resources: Soviet Republic will finally live to see its departure from early access. A press release from the publishing company Hooded Horse reads that version 1.0 of the "communist" city builder will debut in 2024.
The game's official website also published this year's last entry, in which developers from 3Division Entertainment shared the changes and innovations that have recently hit Workers & Resources. Among them were:
- railroad station - a building modeled after a real train station in Kosice, Slovakia. According to the developers, the building, characterized by five tracks, perfectly "embodies the architectural style of the Soviet era."
- a new food factory and distillery - the appearance of both establishments has been refreshed along the lines of a recent gravel pit, moving away from their "outdated design."
- two medium-sized shopping centers - these buildings were also based on actual facilities located in Kosice;
- new connections between roads - the developers also took care to better fit the joints between different types of roadways. Special attention was paid to slab roads, which, according to the developers, "needed refinement."
You can see the effects of 3Division Entertainment's work in the latest gameplay trailer for Workers & Resources.
