Cold War the Setting of Arma 3' New DLC
Bohemia Interactive announced Global Mobilization: Cold War German – the first Creator DLC for Arma III. The add-on will take us to the Cold-War Germany and will introduce new equipment, and a huge map.
Bohemia Interactive revealed the first of the so-called Creator DLCs – expansions to Arma III created in cooperation with other developers. The first one, entitled Global Mobilization – Cold War German will be created by a two-person team Vertexmacht. As the name suggests, the DLC will take us to Germany from the Cold War era – when the country was split between influences from USSR and the Western World – allowing us to participate in the clash between the forces of the German Democratic Republic and the Federal Republic of Germany.
The team developing the DLC is admittedly very small, but that doesn't correspond to the volume of this expansion. Arma 3 Creator DLC: Global Mobilization – Cold War Germany will offer a 419-square-kilometer area in two versions (winter and summer), where we will test some new toys: 21 weapons and 42 vehicles (both including variants). There will also be a single player campaign consisting of ten missions, and allowing both the East and West Germans to become soldiers. If that doesn't really sound compelling, the creators have also prepared seventeen scenarios, in which you will compete or cooperate with other players. Among them, we will find a variant of the deathmatch mode called Fashion Police, where players will be splint into teams according to... the clothes they wear.
In addition, players will also get more options to customize their avatar – according to the iconic German fashion of the 80's. We will get all of this with the Steam release of the expansion, slated for April 29, 2019. Arma 3 Creator DLC: Global Mobilization – Cold War Germany will not be a stand-alone addition, so it won't run without the core Arma III. The DLC alone will cost 19.99 Euros. It should be added that none of the Creator DLCs will be available for free for holders of Arma III: Supporter's Edition, and their installation will be completely optional.
