CoD Cold War Zombies Onslaught Only on PS4 and PS5 for One Year
It turns out that Zombies Onslaught mode in Call of Duty: Black Ops - Cold War will be a one-year exclusive on PS4 and PS5 consoles. Owners of other platforms will be able to play it only in November 2021.
Activision has just announced something will annoy many players. It turns out that Zombies Onslaught mode in Call of Duty: Black Ops - Cold War will only be available on Sony's PlayStation 4 and PS5 for one year. Owners of the PC, Xbox One and Xbox Series X/S versions will not test the mode until November 1, 2021.
It's worth mentioning here that it's only about Zombies Onslaught, a co-op mode in which a two-person team of players will battle living corpses on maps from the standard multiplayer. Traditional zombie mode, with its own campaigns and unique levels, will be available without any restrictions from day one on all hardware platforms.
The news is disappointing, especially considering how long the mode's exclusivity period will be. Next November, the fan attention will be drawn to the next installment of the series, not Call of Duty: Black Ops - Cold War, so it's hard to expect the mode to enjoy great popularity on PC, Xbox One and Xbox Series X/S.
It should be mentioned that this is not the first such exclusive in the history of the franchise. It was the same in the case of last year's installment, namely Call of Duty: Modern Warfare, in which Survival Spec Ops mode was also only available on PlayStation 4 for a year, and it made its debut on PC and Xbox One only earlier this month.
Call of Duty: Black Ops - Cold War will launch on November 13, on PC, Xbox One, Xbox Series X/S and PlayStation 4. The PS5 version will be released n November 13.
