The cult classic Angry Birds has returned to Google Play and App Store. Remaster of the classic game was announced back in June last year, but then Rovio did not say when we can expect the game's return.
Old-new Angry Birds
Rovio's website says that this year's Angry Birds is basically the same game that conquered mobile devices in 2012.
- The title has been adapted for newer hardware and brings back everything that Angry Birds fans may have missed when the pgame was not available for download.
"Rovio Classics: Angry Birds turns back the clock by recreating the original Angry Birds edition from 2012 - complete with chapters, levels, easter eggs and some new stuff!"
- The once-premium bird Mighty Eagle has also returned to the game. In Rovio Classics: Angry Birds it is available for free.
- What's more, the remaster of the original Angry Birds has no ads or microtransactions. The only catch is that you have to pay for access to the game. However, this is not an exorbitant amount - we are talking about only $1.
Gamers are happy with the return, but...
In Google Play, the game's total rating is 4.8/5 so far. Obviously, this is a very good score, and it's hard to find any review that gives Rovio Classics: Angry Birds less than four stars. Players mainly point out the nostalgia that the revamped title evoked in them.
"Brilliant remake. Same mechanics, same levels, same fun, no microtransactions. The only difference is graphics, which is a bit better. Nostalgia guaranteed. I highly recommend it," wrote Ilf.

"I am incredibly happy that the classic is back. The best Rovio game. 0 microtransactions, ads. No complicated, colorful mess or boosts. Again, we can show our skills, not the content of the wallet. I'm still counting on the return of AB Seasons and Go. Recommended," wrote Flamid Design.
...the only right price is for free
Obviously, such jabs from gamers need to be taken with a grain of salt. After all, a token dollar is not a big deal. Despite everything, it did not stop some players from "complaining" about the price of Angry Birds.
