Clash: Artifacts of Chaos From Zeno Clash Devs Announced
Developers from the independent studio ACE Team announced Clash: Artifacts of Chaos, the spiritual successor to the Zeno Clash series. During the game players will wander the eye-catching world battling many grotesque opponents. The title will be released on PC, as well as last- and current-gen consoles.
Independent Chilean studio ACE Team is well known thanks to the unique Zeno Clash series, which was born in 2009. The devs have just presented its spiritual successor, titled Clash: Artifacts of Chaos. The game will be released in 2022 on PC (Steam, Epic Games Store), as well as PS4, PS5, Xbox One and Xbox Series X|S..
During the game we will play as a young warrior named Pseudo, living in seclusion in a bizarre and extremely fantastic world called Zenozoik. At the beginning of the adventure, we encounter a small creature that has the ability to heal wounds. Pseudo decides to take care of the orphaned animal, which attracts the attention of the cunning master of artifacts named Gemini. To save his companion, the protagonist is forced to leave his homeland and take part in ritual hand-to-hand combat, the shape of which is determined by throwing dice.
Just like Zeno Clash, the game offers a whole range of fantastic and grotesque opponents. The success during the duels depends not only on dexterity and speed but also on the aforementioned dice and artifacts, which we come across during the exploration of the world. We observe the action from first- and third-person perspective. The developers have also provided a separate multiplayer mode and a co-op mode for up to four people, in which we are taken to a world created in the protagonist's dreams.
