Clash: Artifacts of Chaos is an action adventure game developed by Chilean studio ACE Team - authors of the popular Zeno Clash series. The game was published by Nacon.

Plot

Clash: Artifacts of Chaos takes us on a journey to a strange, almost grotesque fantasy world called Zenozoik. The main character of the game is Pseudo - a powerful warrior who decided to live in isolation due to the memories that torment him. His peaceful existence comes to an end when he meets a small orphaned creature gifted with the power of healing, which makes him a tasty morsel for the pursuing Gemini, the lord of artifacts. Pseudo decides to keep him safe and sets off with him on a journey in search of the eponymous Chaos artifacts. Along the way, the duo will have to face numerous dangers while observing the sacred rules of the Ritual.

Mechanics

In Clash: Artifacts of Chaos we observe the action both from third person perspective (TPP) and from first person perspective (FPP). During the game we explore Zenozoik full of fantasy landscapes and inhabited by specific creatures and characters. While wandering through this land, we face numerous opponents, making use mainly of our own fists. Confrontations with them are dynamic and based on dice game rules, in which we use artifacts found on the way. In order to win, we must not only show dexterity, reflexes (to block attacks and make quick counterattacks) and perceptiveness (each opponent has its own strengths and weaknesses), but also find as many artifacts as possible, thus extending the range of our combat possibilities. Moreover, Pseudo is plagued by realistic dreams during which we move to an even more mysterious land.

Game modes

In Clash: Artifacts of Chaos you can play solo or in multiplayer mode which allows up to three players to cooperate or duel in the arena.

Technical aspects

Clash: Artifacts of Chaos has cartoon graphics. The whole thing is kept in a colorful style which makes it impossible not to hang your eyes on the creatures and characters you meet along the way, as well as on the Zenozoic landscapes.
