Sid Meier's Civilization 7 will be showcased at gamescom 2024, featuring the first gameplay footage and a 20-minute discussion with the developers. Firaxis Games revealed new details about the presentation, which will be held on August 20 at 1:30 p.m. PT on the team's Twitch channel.

Some of the information contained in the post published on the official series website (and Steam) will probably not surprise anyone - after all, fans know what to expect from the next Civilization. On top of that, the very day the seventh installment was announced, we learned that we would see a longer demonstration of the game this summer, and in late July the developer confirmed the time and place of the showcase.

Nevertheless, the developer confirmed that we can count not only on a gameplay trailer but also details about this "revolutionary new chapter in the franchise," including a discussion of new features. Apparently, the devs are preparing significant changes compared to the sixth part and intend to reveal and present many of them for over 20 minutes.

Developers also confirmed their presence at the next trade fairs: PAX West 2024 on August 31. These will also be an excuse to share novelties as well as anecdotes from the development of the seventh Civilization.

Sid Meier's Civilization 7 is coming to PC, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X/S, and Nintendo Switch. The launch is scheduled for 2025.
