Chrome Gains, Firefox Loses Ground
The most popular Internet browser in February 2019 was Chrome. Google's app has increased its share of the market. The developers of Safari have reasons to be happy, Firefox, however, is losing ground.
In February 2019, Chrome had a 62.41% share of the global web browser market - 0.69% more than in January. This gives Google's papp the first place in the popularity ranking. The second place is taken by Safari (15.56% - an increase from 15.23%), while the last place on the podium is taken by Firefox (4.39% - a decrease of 0.27%). Next are UC Browser (3.73%, 0.1% less than in January) and Samsung Internet (3.42%, previously 3.64%).
Interestingly, Chrome's domination is still growing. In February 2019, Google's product was selected by 77.24% of internet users (0.36 percent more than a month earlier). Subsequent places include Firefox (6.84%, previously 7.11%), Samsung Internet (5.32%), Opera (3.93%, down 0.02%) and Safari (2.54%).
As you can see, Google Chrome still enjoys the unquestionable leader position in the browser market and there is no indication that something will change in this respect. Even the recent ad blocking controversy in future versions did not harm Google browser's popularity.
