Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 Conquers Steam Despite Price
Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 pre-orders debuted on Steam with a bang. Despite the high price, players rushed to buy the game.
Like every Monday a list of the biggest (by revenue) bestsellers of the past week on Steam has been released. As with the previous list, the Steam Deck took the top spot, followed closely by V Rising.
Excellent debut of Call of Duty: Modern Warfare II pre-orders
The past week saw the launch of pre-orders for Call of Duty: Modern Warfare II and gamers rushed to buy them. The different editions of the game took the third and tenth place in the list.
CoD is a very strong brand, and in the case of this year's installment a large role is also played by the fact that after a long absence the series returns to Steam. This is the first installment in the series since Call of Duty: WWII, which can be purchased on Valve's store.
The high position in the list was undoubtedly also helped by the high price - on Steam, the cheapest edition costs $69.99, and the list is compiled by revenue. As you can see, many players were not discouraged by having to pay $10 more.
Successful launch of The Quarry
A successful debut was also recorded by the horror game The Quarry, which took the number 8 spot on the list. The game's activity record is currently 6349 users. This result is clearly better than in the case of previous games by Supermassive Games, which never exceeded the barrier of 5 thousand players at the same time.
Last week's biggest Steam hits (by revenue)
Still selling very well is Elden Ring. In addition, thanks to attractive but already ended deals, the top 10 includes Sea of Thieves and It Takes Two. It is also worth noting the still high pre-orders of Stray.
