Call of Duty Cold War Campaign Locations on Teasers
Three short films have appeared on the web, providing a glimpse on the locations where the missions from the Call of Duty: Black Ops - Cold War's story campaign will take place. The game will launch on November 13, this year.
- Three videos presenting the locations we will visit as part of the single player campaign in Call of Duty: Black Ops - Cold War have appeared online.
- They present maps located in Amsterdam, Vietnam and Moscow.
- Moreover, at the end of last week we got to know the details about the Zombie mode.
The single player campaign in Call of Duty: Black Ops - Cold War can look quite intriguing for some players, at least on paper. Representatives of Treyarch, the studio that is currently responsible for the title, mentioned that in addition to the standard moving forward and elimination of enemies in single-player mode, there will also be side missions and a lot of freedom to achieve certain goals. All this is to be soaked in the atmosphere of spy stories taking place during the Cold War. And as befits such stories, during the game we will visit a number of locations scattered around the world. A small glance at three of them is offered by short footage that has recently appeared online (via GamesRadar ).
Watch out for possible small spoilers below!
The first video shows a bar in Amsterdam and its surroundings that we will visit in the Nowhere Left to Run mission. From the decorations we can deduce that it will take place at the beginning of 1981 (or at the end of 1980). In the presented bar we are to meet with our contact just before going on the mission to catch the first target.
The second video shows us the location of the Fracture Jaw mission, which will be a recollection of the Vietnam War. There are going to be several levels of this kind.
Finally, on the third video we can see the interior of the infamous Lubyanka, where the KGB had its headquarters in the USSR times (now it's the HQ of the FSB). In Call of Duty: Black Ops - Cold War we will visit her as part of the Desperate Measures mission. What's important, it's supposed to be a rest from shooting.
That's not all. At the end of last week we also learned something more about the Zombie mode in Call of Duty: Black Ops - Cold War. It is called Dark Aether and will be divided into episodes. The first one, Die Machine, will start with a retrospection. It will take us back to the time of World War II, when the Russians discover a mysterious Nazi experiment called Project Endstation and accidentally unleash the undead. The unit known as Requiem, led by Russian-American soldier Grigori Weaver, will try to stop them. Unfortunately, also the Soviet Omega group will stand in the way of the team.
As revealed by the creators, for the first time in the history of the series, the Zombie mode in Call of Duty: Black Ops - Cold War will enable to play as operators from the multiplayer mode and several characters from the campaign. However, this is not the only novelty. Additionally, we can expect field upgrades, rare weapons, alternative escape routes and the possibility to build turrets like in the classic multiplayer. More details can be found here.
What's more important, the creators plan to release more maps to Zombie mode for free after the launch of Call of Duty: Black Ops - Cold War. All this to avoid uncecessary fragmentation of the game's community.
As a reminder, Call of Duty: Black Ops - Cold War will debut on PC, PlayStation 4, Xbox One, as well as Xbox Series X/S and PS5 on November 13, this year.
