Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War - Title and Logo of This Year's CoD Leaked
Thanks to the leak of a Doritos promotion we learned that Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War will be this year's installment of Activision's hit series. There were also indications about a possible release date.
After months of speculation it seems that we finally got to know the title of this year's installment of the Call of Duty series. The source is a leak of materials from the promo campaign of Doritos, acquired by youtuber TheGamingRevolution. According to them, the next installment of the series will be titled Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War. This seems to confirm the rumors that the franchise will return to Cold War setting this year.
The leak informs that in bags of Doritos we will find codes that, when entered in the game, will provide bonus to experience points. The important thing is that the promotion is scheduled to start on October 5, this year. This suggests that Call of Duty Black Ops Cold War will launch on the market around that time.
Last year's Call of Duty: Modern Warfare had a similar promotion, except that it was related to Mountain Dew drinks. In this case, the action started at the beginning of October, and the game was released on October 25, 2019.
We still don't know when Call of Duty Black Ops Cold War will be officially released. Usually Activision has announced new installments of the series around the E3, but this year the show was canceled due to the coronavirus. However, if the game is to be released in October this year, we should not wait long for the first official information about it.
