Silent Hill Fans Divided About Bloober Team
The Internet reacted vividly to yesterday's announcement of cooperation between Bloober Team and Konami. Fans of the Silent Hill series, whose new installment will most probably be entrusted to the Polish studio, have mixed feelings.
Yesterday we reported on the signing of a cooperation agreement between Polish studio Bloober Team and Konami Digital Entertainment. We can assume with a high degree of probability that the developers will be entrusted with work on the new installment of the Silent Hill series. After all, Bloober Team has experience in horror games: it has released such titles as The Medium, Blair Witch, Observer or the Layers of Fear duology. However, the experience of the developers from Krakow doesn't seem to have convinced Silent Hill fans, who have doubts whether the studio will be able to carry the burden of continuing the iconic series.
Twitter is full of various comments about the possible Silent Hill game created by Bloober Team.

Of course, you can't ignore the comments from Reddit either. In this case, too, we are dealing with not entirely satisfied fans of the series:
"I don't even dislike Bloober (I thoroughly enjoyed Observer even though it made me dizzy at times), but I'll be very disappointed if they're indeed in charge of rebooting Silent Hill. The folks at Frogwars (Sinking City) would have been a much better fit for the franchise," writes one of the users.
Some, however, give the Polish studio a chance, claiming that the series hasn't had it too easy in recent years, so "it can't get any worse".
"From my understanding, it is possible they will develop a smaller game, whereas Another team will make a bigger one.
Honestly, SH franchise is not in the best condition anyway, so it is not like they are going to ruin it. Medium was pretty decent, with some cool visuals, art design and atmosphere. Overall it Kind of looked like a training before they start Working on SH. Assuming I did not know about that title, You could take some screenshots from that game and show them to me saying it is New Silent Hill and I would be willing to believe it.
Sad truth is that there are not many succesfull independent horror games developers these days anyway, so it is not like they had a large Choice and could get someone much better for the job. Especially when you want to sell a game to bigger audience, and Bloober is pretty good with Graphics. I am not optimistic, but I don't know why we should not give them a chance."
Lastly, there's the financial aspect of the deal between Bloober Team and Konami. The stock exchange did not react to this great announcement with excessive optimism, although it may seem that cooperation with such a big company will have a positive impact on the stock price. Currently, the stock price of Bloober Team Inc. remains stable. Apparently, investors prefer to wait for the situation to develop.
The players will also wait for further information. It should be remembered that it has still not been announced what game the Polish studio will work on under the wings of the Japanese giant. Admittedly, the Silent Hill series is a top-shelf franchise, so we'll see whether Bloober Team will be up to the task.
