Black Geyser - Dark RPG About Greed Like Baldur and PoE Launches

Black Geyser: Couriers of Darkness, a classic RPG that can be fun to play through with an evil character, has launched on Steam and GOG today. After seven months in Early Access, the game got many improvements and a small price increase. We also remind you of its system requirements on PC.

Early Access in August - check. Proper release in the first quarter of 2022 - check. Independent studio GrapeOcean Technologies perfectly met the declared deadlines, thanks to which today we witnessed the launch of a classic RPG Black Geyser: Couriers of Darkness on Steam and GOG.

Storyline and mechanics

If you do not know what this creature is, let me introduce it to you in the words of the developers themselves:

"Black Geyser is set in Yerengal, a world where dark gods have brought nothing but venality and greed. For centuries, the Devil-god Rothgor has spread fear and terror, waging war upon the mortal races. Eventually banished, the nation of Isilmerald has enjoyed a time of peace and prosperity. Yet discontent has begun to fester once more, and a bloody civil war is brewing between the capital Isilbright and the wealthy mining town of Deron-Guld."

As for the mechanics, the term "classic RPG" should tell you everything you need to know. Expect an isometric view and tactical battles with active pause, during which you will give orders to your own created character and his or her companions.

When creating the hero or heroine, you can choose one of each of the five races (Human, Dwarf, Elf, Feldegug and Rillow) and thirteen unique classes, belonging to four main groups (Priest, Outlaw, Warrior, and Wizard). Each of them receives unique skills, items, etc.

Price slightly increased

How much will we pay for all this? Well, from now on a little more than before. The early version of the production cost $20. For the "full version" - after twenty rather large updates - you will have to pay around $30. However, it seems that the game is worth this amount, offering 30-60 hours of fun - the greed mechanic deserves special attention, about which we wrote more here.
