Biomutant Gets New Release Date

Biomutant will not be released in March, as we all expected, after all. The game will see the light of day a few months later, and soon its promo campaign will start again.

IN A NUTSHELL:
  1. We will be able to play Biomutant from May 25, 2021;
  2. We'll see more gameplay footage in the weeks and months ahead.

Never trust corporations is a good guide line any time of the year, and yet again we were fooled. This time, we got stood up by the Embracer Group holding company (owner of THQ Nordic), which published a few weeks ago an annual report, suggesting that we'll be able to play Biomutant, the upcoming action RPG from Experiment 101, before the end of this fiscal year, or March 31, 2021.

Now we know that's not true, as THQ Nordic has announced a new release date for the aforementioned title on the website, and this time it seems to be final and not threatened. Biomutant will be released on May 25, 2021 on PC, PlayStation 4 and Xbox One. The game will probably work on next-gen consoles - PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X/S - thanks to backwards compatibility.

We were wondering when THQ Nordic and Experiment 101 would start the marketing campaign for the game in earnest. We read that the campaign will kick off in the next few weeks and continue for months to come. The content of the collector's edition of the game was also confirmed, as well as pre-orders, open to everyone interested.
