Binding of Isaac Repentance 2024 Update Is Here. Read Patch Notes
The Binding of Isaac: Rebirth receive free update called Repentance+. So, now you can play the game with friends.
The Binding of Isaac: Rebirth is one of the best roguelikes available (at least if we look at 96% of positive reviews on Steam). The game was launched in 2014 and still receives new content. In 2021, DLC called Repentance was released. Now, three years later, we can enjoy Repentance+ (use the link to see full patch notes). This free update introduces many new things, including the most important fresh feature – online co-op.
The Binding of Isaac Repentance 2024 Update Patch Notes
The biggest addition that appeared in The Binding of Isaac Repentance is the online co-op mode. This feature was tested earlier this year, and now is available in public build. So, you can play with your friends in all modes – Normal, Hard, Greed, Greedier or Challenges. You can also take part in Daily Runs. Of course, they have been adjusted. For example, defeated bosses will drop rewards for all players.
That's not all. You can also unlock achievements and new items during runs with friends. Unfortunately, there is one disadvantage too – you must disable all installed mods to play online. You have also keep in mind that Repentance+ have their own mod folder – Users\XY\Documents\My Games\Binding of Isaac Repentance+\mods. There you can paste your old mods, but it’s risky. They may not work properly until their creators don't update them.
Of course, there are also other new things. The effects of 25 items have been buffed. The list includes:
- Abyss
- Kidney Bean
- Mars
- Mega Bean
- Void
Developers also fixed many bugs and modified some items’ prices. However, keep in mind that according to the warning, Repentance+ can still have some bugs.
