Baldur's Gate and Baldur's Gate 2 Coming to Game Pass
Xbox Game Pass subscribers will soon be able to play Baldur's Gate: Enhanced Edition and Baldur's Gate II: Enhanced Edition.
The Game Pass subscription is set to add two new games to its offerings any day now:
Reports of their imminent addition come from the notification of the official Game Pass app, so this is verified information and we should not have to wait long for their introduction to the service's offer.
Most likely, both productions will be available only for Xbox One, Xbox Series S and Xbox Series X consoles, as the PC editions of these games are not available on the Microsoft Store. We will update the news when the games hit the library.
Recall that Baldur's Gate: Enhanced Edition and Baldur's Gate II: Enhanced Edition are refreshed versions of the first two installments of the classic RPG series by BioWare. Compared to the originals, the graphics of both games have been updated to HD quality, and the games themselves have been enriched with new content.
The addition of the games to Game Pass may sweeten the coming weeks a bit for those who own only Xbox consoles. Tomorrow's release of the highly anticipated version 1.0 of Baldur's Gate III will take place only on PC (in turn, the game will hit PS5 in a month).
Work is already underway on releases for Xbox Series X and Xbox Series S, but as of yet there is no word on when this edition will debut. New info may be revealed later this year.
