New Assassin's Creed Valhalla Update Caused Crashes, Hotfix Announced
Update 1.2.0 released a few days ago for Assassin's Creed Valhalla caused crashes in Raventhorpe for many players. The developers very quickly located the problem and promised a proper fix.
A few days ago, update 1.2.0 was released for Ubisoft's Assassin's Creed: Valhalla, introducing, among other things, transmog option, new skills, as well as numerous fixes. Unfortunately, as it turned out, the patch also brought a lot of bugs causing crashes. Many of them appeared when the players were staying in Ravensthorpe, the protagonist's main base, which is also the place where we accept new story missions.
Fortunately, the developers quickly located the source of the problem. The culprit turned out to be the decorations of the settlement related to the Ostara Festival, which began on March 18. Ubisoft decided to temporarily remove the problematic additions, as well as disable some side quests until a larger fix is available. This is expected to arrive next week.
Despite the numerous failures and controversies, the devs of Valhalla do not intend to stop at minor updates. On April 29, the first story expansion called Wrath of the Druids will be released, and a second expansion called The Siege of Paris has been announced for summer 2021.
