Aquanox: Deep Descent Gamecom Gameplay Footage Has Emerged
Deep sea vehicle shooter Aquanox: Deep Descent has got a new gameplay footage, as seen at gamescom 2016. In it, the developer showcased some of the game's key features.
Although gamescom 2016 is long gone, there are still some things that haven’’t been shown to a broader public on the Internet. This is how THQ Nordic have been able to publish a fresh gamescom gameplay footage from Aquanox: Deep Descent, a futuristic submarine simulator and a sequel to the successful game series from early 2000s. The video comes from an early pre-alpha version, but it gives a nice glimpse at what the game is going to be like. Plus, the commentary discusses some of the key features, like co-op, combat, customizable ships, PvP, etc.
In contrast to Aquanox, and AquaNox 2: Revelation, which were created by Massive Development, the next installment in the series is in works by Serbian independent studio Digital Arrow, who had previously made InMomentum. Aquanox: Deep Descent is more of a reboot than a sequel, and aims to combine the best features of the two previous games with fast-paced action, deep sea exploration, and modern audiovisuals. Aquanox: Deep Descent is set to release in late spring 2017 for PC and may also hit Xbox One and PlayStation 4.
