Ambitious Minecraft Project Keeps Delighting 10 Years Later
Jeracraft has released a video showing the latest enhancements to the stunning Kingdoms of Greymane project for Minecraft.
At the end of 2012, a Minecraft fan known as Jeracraft began work on an ambitious project titled Kingdoms of Greymane. It has been in development for more than a decade and its creator has just released a new video showing how far the modification has come.
It is worth mentioning that Kingdoms of Greymane is a paid mod that can be purchased from Jeracraft's store for $9.99. The commercial nature of the project makes it an offer only for the most dedicated Minecraft fans. Even without the intention to purchase, however, it's worth watching the video below to marvel at how much fans can do with this game.
Kingdoms of Greymane offers an extensive map, the heart of which is a castle with a surrounding city. The developed world impresses with its level of detail and architecture, and is being improved all the time. In the latest update, among other things, the entire mountain behind the fortress has been rebuilt, not only on the surface, but also in its interior, creating large underground sections with a treasury, modeled on Tolkien's Moria.
Kingdoms of Greymane is one of countless examples of player creativity in Minecraft. In recent years, we have written about, among others. a map inspired by communist Poland, a realistic city built by several hundred people Greenfield, a modification faithfully reproducing The Titanic, or the White Orchard known from The Witcher 3.
