Total War: Pharaoh is a new game from Total War franchise. As the name suggests, the title takes us to Ancient Egypt in the middle of power struggle among various prominent figures. Each of historical characters has their own governing style and ambitions. There are 8 Factions to rule divided into 3 main cultures – Egyptians, Canaanites, and Hittites. Let’s learn more about them.
Egyptians in Total War: Pharaoh
Ramesses
Buildings
- Strengths: major improvement of happiness or a source of high-tier units.
- Weaknesses – unique buildings can be built only in Province Capitals.
Army
- Strengths: elite units and army which is good at both – melee and ranged combat.
- Weaknesses: small unit size.
Commands
- Armies can attack on March Stence.
- Medjay units can be trained quickly.
Court:
- 2 Court Actions per turn.
- Suggested position: First Commander.
Seti
Buildings
- Strengths: swift recruitment and higher resource production.
- Weaknesses: reduced happiness and risk of Rebellion.
Army
- Strengths: good in melee and flanking.
- Weaknesses: not good at defending.
Commands
- Recruit units fast.
- Better rewards from battles.
Court:
- Can use request without Regard.
- Suggested position: High Pries of Amun.

- Strengths: better production in buildings and bonus for having more of them.
- Weaknesses: production buildings lower happiness.

- Weaknesses: resource building cannot be upgraded.

- Weaknesses: slow and vulnerable to terrain.
