Original news (September 12)
Dragon's Dogma II, an action RPG, was released in a technical state that was lacking, especially on PC. Since its March premiere, the game has received several small updates, but they didn't fix the situation. Now there is hope that these problems will finally be solved.
- Capcom has announced that it's finalizing its next update.
- The patch aims to optimize the game's processor usage, reduce engine freezing, and introduce several other improvements. The publisher's note informs that the patch will be available for all platforms, but PC players are the most eager for it, as they need it the most.
- The update's release date and more information about the content will be revealed soon.
The game's reception on Steam, where only 60% of all reviews praise this RPG, shows how much Dragon’s Dogma II needs technical improvements. Counting only reviews from the last 30 days, the proportion of positive opinions is only 54%, which is even worse. Players mainly complain about poor optimization and technical shortcomings.
Dragon's Dogma 2 was released on March 22 for PC, Xbox Series X, Xbox Series S, and PlayStation 5. It's worth noting that the game will be one of the titles getting a boost to take advantage of the additional power offered by the PlayStation 5 Pro.
