007 Game From Hitman Devs Won't Show Any Movie Bond
Neither Daniel Craig nor any other actor known for the role of James Bond will lend his face to the protagonist of the pcoming game from Hitman devs. IO Interactive will present its own vision of the popular spy in the upcoming Project 007.
IO Interactive, for the first time since announcing the title with the working title Project 007 in 2020, has shared official information about the new game about the adventures of James Bond. In an interview for Eurogamer, the studio's co-owners Christian Elverdam and Hakan Abrak revealed that the virtual face of the iconic MI6 spy will not be modeled on any of the actors who have so far played the role of Agent 007.
- The devs admitted that they were surprised by the great openness they met with from representatives of EON Productions, responsible for the James Bond movies. The producers were given full freedom to create the characters and their stories in order to best suit the player tastes.
- Thanks to this we have the feeling that the title is not just an adaptation of films or books, but a piece of medium created solely with interactive entertainment in mind. The inspiration for IO Interactive comes from the movie series, in which the main character underwent multiple changes, along with successive actors playing the role. Recall that the character of James Bond was played by Sean Connery, Roger Moore, Pierce Brosnan and, in recent years, Daniel Craig, among others.
- Unfortunately, the developers have not shared any details regarding the plot or gameplay of Project 007.
As a side note, it is worth mentioning that the novels written by Ian Fleming, which are the basis for the film series, will also undergo changes. Ian Fleming Publications has announced new editions in which well-known stories will receive revisions. In this way, content that may offend some readers will be removed, including, among other things, passages that are considered racist.
