IO Interactive Reveals Handful of Details About New James Bond Game
IO Interactive, the studio known for Hitman, has revealed some details about Project 007, its new production in which we will play as James Bond.
Latest issue of Edge brought a handful of information on Project 007, the upcoming work of IO Interactive, in which we will play the role of James Bond (per GamesRadar). Although we didn't get too many details, the interview with Hakan Abran, the company's CEO, reveals a picture of a production not necessarily that close to the Hitman series as it might have seemed.
Project 007 is described by the developer as "the greatest espionage fantasy". So we can expect that in the course of the game we'll be juggling gadgets that even the original James Bond wouldn't be ashame to use. Moreover, the adventure is to be more linear than "Hitman's free hunts" (whether this will also mean more "cinematic" - time will tell). In addition, the whole thing is supposed to be closer to the struggles of James Bond as portrayed by Daniel Craig than Roger Moore.
And... that would be it. A small amount of details on Project 007 is not particularly surprising, given the fact that the release of the game is a song of a distant future. Nevertheless, a number of other information about it has seen the light of day over the past few years, from which it appears that Project 007 may begin a trilogy, as was the case with games about Agent 47, it will be a TPP game, and will not depict any existing Bond movie, but its own virtual incarnation of the character.
