Drift
The goal is to get as much points as possible by driving in a skid (drifting)
#1 | #2 |
You need to swing the rear of the car and tweak your acceleration and steering to keep your car in a sideways skid[#1] and, simultaneously, not falling out of the road, crashing into barriers etc. Of course you don't have to do this on one skid, the thing that counts is the number of points at the finish line(visible at the top of the screen)
Remarks:
- You always have three attempts, so don't get hung up if you fail at first. At the end, there's a collated list of results [#2].
- You must perfectly manipulate your acceleration and wheel angle. If you're driving in a right-side skid and start turning a rear-wheel drive car right, then, after it starts to swing, turn left, you'll turn left. You can manipulate the angle at which you turn now, although your gas pedal has a say in the matter too.
- If you're in a skid for too long and your car starts to dangerously slow down, use nitro! The faster you go, the more points you get.
- Of course, if you wreck your car, you're out of the competition and lose automatically, regardless of former results).
- You get additional points for certain things, like staying on the road, a long skid, high speed while skidding etc. It pays to get these points, although it's not a lot, couple of hundreds at most).
