Undecember is a hack'n'slash game released in a free-to-play model with micropayments. It was developed by Needs Games studio and published by LINE Games.

Plot

Undecember takes us on a journey to Traum - dark fantasy world created by twelve deities. When its safety was threatened by the thirteenth, evil deity, the others attempted to defeat him using special runes filled with their power. After this failed attempt, the deities decided to unite and destroy their enemy together. Although they succeeded this time, they also suffered in the process, and their souls, stripped of their bodies, were forced to fall into an eternal sleep.

Centuries passed, the people of Traum began to use the power of the runes again, and eventually the twelve were awakened. Now it's just a matter of time before the thirteenth deity comes back to life and all the evil that may come to light with him. In the course of the game we play as one of the so-called rune hunters, whose task is to stop the oncoming chaos.

Game mechanics

In Undecember we watch the action from isometric view. Traversing Traum and completing various tasks, we eliminate hordes of enemies. Clashes are extremely dynamic, and we kill our enemies using cold and ranged weapons and a variety of combat skills. Classless system was implemented in the game. After creating the hero and choosing the way in which we want to develop him (we can bet on strength, cunning or intelligence), we have full freedom in terms of what abilities he will have. So nothing stands in the way of leading the battle, for example, a sword-wielding strongman who casts healing spells.

We develop our characters by getting better equipment and collecting special runes, which provide us with various skills. The runes themselves can also be improved with the help of materials acquired along the way.

Game modes

In Undecember we can play solo or in multiplayer mode; the game includes cross-platform features. We can find here a story mode divided into acts, and after finishing it we get access to the endgame phase, which is the Chaos Dungeon. Apart from that, there's Boss Raid mode, where eight people face the game's bosses, and a PvP module called Crusade of Glory. Moreover, players can form guilds, thus gaining access to special buffs.

Technical aspects

Undecember features high-quality graphics; the visual effects accompanying the casting of spells are especially pleasing.
